The Flemish Department of Foreign Affairs kindly invites you to the debate ‘Trauma and Transformation: the Role of UNRWA for Palestine Refugees’, moderated by Prof. dr. Jan Wouters. In addition, we invite you to discover pictures of Palestine refugees from 1948 over the years to the present day.

The evening will be officially opened by Mr. Kris Peeters, Minister-President of the Government of Flanders and Commissioner-General of UNRWA, Mr. Filippo Grandi. Zie programma  …


Testimonials by Roza Smolinska, former UNRWA trainee (Flanders Trainee Programme), Brigitte Herremans (Broederlijk Delen and Pax Christi), Pieter Stockmans and Majd Khalifeh (journalists), Louise Haxthausen (UNESCO) and Matthias Burchard (UNRWA Brussels) will provide new insights on the role of UNRWA in the region.

The evening will be closed with a reception offered by the Flemish Department of Foreign Affairs.
